Jiangsu Taixing Reclaimed Land Landfill Solid Waste Event Tracking is stepping up the rectification of media exposure to environmental issues.

　　CCTV News:Recently, CCTV news channel exposed that in Taixing, Jiangsu, some people used land reclamation to bury solid waste. At present, local public security, environmental protection, land, commission for discipline inspection and other departments have been involved in the investigation and disposed of the landfill. After the program was broadcast, Taixing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a meeting overnight to focus on studying and implementing the rectification work.

　　The environmental protection issue of this exposure was the letters and visits assigned by the central environmental protection inspector during the "looking back" period in June 2018. In addition, 17 solid waste landfill sites were found in the investigation of the local authorities.

There are 6 landfill sites in Heshi Town, which have been identified as general industrial solid waste. Two landfill sites in huangqiao town are undergoing the property identification of landfill. "

　　Taixing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have made clear the cut-off points of the disposal time of these 17 landfill sites, and strive to complete the disposal tasks of all sites before the end of March 2019.

Now the investigation has basically ended, and 31 people have been taken compulsory measures. The procuratorial organ has prosecuted the relevant personnel to the court for the crime of environmental pollution. The local commission for discipline inspection and the supervisory Committee have successively held nine people accountable.
