Han Diao Er Huang and Pingli Killer Opera were rescued and protected. The singer ran for three years.

Chen Junhua and the actors are at the recording scene.

Minzhu Lane, Pingli County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province is a small hillside road. The Red Flag Theater inside is a typical building in the 1970s and 1980s. The seats in the theater are reminiscent of the old cinema as a child. A few days ago, a recording ceremony was held in Hongqi Theatre to rescue the protection of Han Diao Er Huang and Pingli Killer cavity through highly digital reproduction. An old member of the former Pingli Troupe said with emotion that the theater has not been so lively for a long time.

Chen Junhua, a soprano of the Chinese Symphony Orchestra, also appeared at the opening ceremony. Seeing that the project was finally launched after three years of self-initiative, Chen Junhua couldn’t hide his joy. "If I do this for nothing else, I just want to do my little bit for the protection of the intangible heritage in my hometown, just because of my childlike feelings."

The Red Flag Theatre was the seat of Pingli Opera Troupe. Through the opening ceremony, the "corners" of that year reunited. The oldest is 85 years old and the youngest is 45 years old. These old artists who haven’t performed on stage for many years, with their remaining memories and eternal passion, sang and recorded the well-known classic passages of that year sentence by sentence, and in this way, tried to leave as much precious art handed down from their ancestors as possible for future generations.

Yan Qingquan, deputy magistrate in charge of cultural tourism in Pingli County, introduced that there are two national intangible cultural heritages in the county — — The tune of Erhuang and Pingli Killer dialect in Han Dynasty has a historical and cultural background of hundreds of years. In the late 1950s, Pingli County established Pingli Troupe on the basis of "self-music class", and a number of artistic backbones and outstanding actors emerged, and a number of outstanding plays such as "Old Yinshan Mountain" and "Songling Bell" were launched. In 1980s, influenced by the development of market economy, Killer dialect and Han tune and Erhuang dialect lacked vitality, which was impacted and fell into a trough. Nowadays, these two ancient arts, which once flourished in the local area and passed down from mouth to mouth, are on the verge of being "lost" because of lack of people to take over.

At that time, the Pingli Troupe was a "pole-carrying troupe" serving the people. The artists of the troupe carried poles across the mountains to perform for the villagers, and the villagers in Siliba Township came to the theatre with torches. Chen Junhua’s parents are old members of the troupe. "I was born here, and I grew up listening to Killer accent and Han tune Erhuang music, which is a standard ‘ Pole Troupe ’ My daughters, they are my prenatal education and enlightenment. Seeing that the inheritors of the old generation of Han tune Erhuang and Killer accent are dying and getting old, but I can’t find young people to take over, my heart is particularly anxious. Due to the limitations of the past era, these old people don’t have much professional knowledge of opera, and their lyrics and performances are all in their hearts. As their age gradually increases, in the case that young inheritors are scarce, if they are not rescued and protected, the Killer dialect of Han Diao Er Huang and Heping Li may gradually withdraw from the historical stage. "

With the call of Chen Junhua and the support of all parties, Ankang Finance Bureau specially allocated funds to support the recording of the rescue and protection of ancient operas. Chen Junhua introduced that the recording is based on Pingli Killer accent and Han Diao Er Huang, and through the high digital reproduction of the music of his works, the purpose of inheriting and protecting and keeping pace with the times is achieved. The recording task was completed by the professional recording team of China Record Corporation.

Choosing to record on the stage instead of the studio, Chen Junhua also has his own considerations. She said that the recording effect in the studio will be better than here, but the narrow space will make these old artists constrained, and they will feel more like singing on the stage.

  Live close-up

"It would be a pity not to leave any sound."

Wang Helin and Yunwei, two actors of the troupe, stood in front of the microphone. As the band sang the classic Killer opera "Two Entering the Palace", the well-organized and clear-cut singing echoed in the theater; Zou Chengren and Wu Ronghua are an artistic couple. One is the old head of Pingli Hongqi Troupe, and the other is Hua Dan, the head of the troupe, who re-entered the stage for several days. In particular, Mr. Zou Yili is simply a "drama basket" full of Taiwanese books, and a casual mouth is bubbling out. Regrettably, the old man is old and weak, leaving only a few classic paragraphs.

During the recording, we didn’t find a piece of music at the scene — — Whether it’s an old singer or a pianist or drummer accompanied by a band, it’s all by memory. This is the charm of word of mouth, but there are also embarrassing times: the memory of Wu Ronghua, an elderly man, is not as good as before, and there are many lyrics to be prompted. In the process of recording the famous drama "Traveling to the West Lake" of Han Diao Er Huang, there are two lyrics that no one present can remember. Zou Chengren, the old colonel, had to take the lead, and after careful consideration of everyone’s words, he finally compiled the lyrics "Spring breeze doesn’t understand people’s wishes, and who am I talking to?"

Speaking of this recording, Zou Yongli’s face was excited and then worried: "Thank you for this good thing done by Junhua and China Singing Corporation. Now the hardware is getting better and better, but few people can sing. It would be a pity not to leave any sound. " (Wen Zhang Xuejun)
